TVB stopped broadcasting one episode of TV series “Moonlight Resonance” yesterday because of the Beijing Olympic’s China VS Cuba women’s volleyball match going over time. TVB continued to broadcast “When a Dog loves a Cat” and stopped “Moonlight Resonance”.
Unfortunately TVB assistant director of public relations Tsang Shing Ming claimed that he had received 8 complaints. He said “actually the match was expected to finish at 9PM but in the end it went over time. Also because “When a Dog loves a Cat” is ending this week that’s why we decided to stop broadcasting “Moonlight Resonance” for a day. The Olympics is only broadcasted every 4 years and we hope the audience will understand”. Some netizen’s stated that it would have been better to stop broadcasting “When a Cat loves a Dog” since the ratings are average. But there were also people who agreed with the decision.

The anime adaptation of Yoshiki Nakamura’s Skip Beat! shōjo manga has been licensed by Top-Insight International Co., Ltd. to run on Taiwanese television simultaneously or nearly simultaneously with the Japanese broadcast in October. In Taiwan, the series will run on Chunghwa Telecom’s Multimedia on Demand (MOD) pay-per-view television service. The arrangement was revealed at the 9th Comic Exhibition, which is running from August 13 to August 18 at the Taiwanese capital of Taipei.
Director Kiyoko Sayama (Angel Sanctuary, Pretear, Princess Tutu, Vampire Knight) is working with the studio Hal Film Maker (Angel Sanctuary, Pretear, Princess Tutu) on this project. The story centers on a teenager named Kyōko who followed her childhood friend Shō to Tokyo as he pursues his show business dreams. Despite playing housekeeper for Shō, Kyōko overhears Shō dismissing her as a boring nobody. Furious, Kyōko vows to also become a singer and defeat Shō.
Gonzo has been streaming three anime titles on the YouTube, Crunchyoll, and BOST websites on the same day as their Japanese broadcast. Still other anime such as Afro Samurai ran on overseas television before their Japanese broadcasts, since they were primarily intended for the foreign markets. However, Skip Beat! will be the first anime in recent memory to run on television nearly simultaneously in both Japan and another country.

Jay Chou has been busy producing his new album but he still helped out his good friends Nan Quan Mama, he personally directed the MV for Nan Quan Mama’s new song “You Aren’t Like Her”, who would have thought that recently netizens would question the MV for being very similar to the Mvs for Korean idol group BIGBANG’s “A Fool With Only Tears” and “My Girl”.

[Kelly Chen and boyfriend Alex Lau at the airport yesterday
Kelly Chen will get married in October and become Mrs Lau. Yesterday Kelly and boyfriend Alex Lau were discovered arriving back to Hong Kong airport from Thailand.
In June Kelly announced that she was getting married during her live concert and had been preparing for her wedding ever since. Last week she secretly went to Thailand with her boyfriend and spent 4 days together on a sweet vacation. Yesterday Kelly and Alex returned to Hong Kong together. Around 8pm yesterday, Alex who wore a T-shirt and sandals was the first to step out of the gate, when he discovered the paparazzi’s he appeared in shock.

The reporters believe that Alex had already notified Kelly about the paparazzi’s and that’s why she appeared after 20 minutes later. She came out from another gate with her manager Zhong Zhen and assistant. When she saw the reporters she smiled and admitted that she just returned from her holiday with her boyfriend. “I went with my colleagues too and we had alot of fun”. (How is the wedding preparations going?) “We spent a few days having fun, now we continue to work hard to prepare for our wedding”.
